Piper follows his book, A Peculiar Glory, with this one. In my opinion, it is a slow read, as most of Piper's books are. This is not a bad thing, however, since it causes one to stop and contemplate exactly what he's meaning to say. This books ironically possesses numerous practical ways to read the Bible supernaturally. Each chapter he outlines his purpose step by step while he takes the time to speak to each implication.
